Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials

This is the approach and methods that enable individuals, families, groups,
organizations and communities to be involved in achieving, protecting and
sustaining their own health in the society. This method also includes media
broadcast, such as radio jingles, printing of flyers, posters, leaflets, etc.
This has proven to be powerful tools for bringing social change and
development in health information. The participatory nature of IEC programs
provides a sublime opportunity to engage with the local communities,
establish good rapport and to define their specific needs. This enhances the
effectiveness of the programs, provides ambient environment for evaluation,
improvement and sustenance.
