STIs, HIV/AIDS
HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are actively managed by the RSPHCMB in
conjunction with partners. PHCs provide HIV/AIDS counselling, testing and other interventions based on
the local patterns of STIs. The program managers for the HIV/AIDS program ensure the monitoring and
evaluation of program activities in addition to maintaining the data base of all reports and inventory.
Program activities include:
- Co-ordination of counselling and testing services.
- Prevention of mother-to-child (PMTCT) services in antenatal clinics.
- Co-ordinate and monitor supply of ART drugs.
- Provision of reports on the implementation of HIV/AIDS program.
